Construction of the National Dementia Services and Information Centre commenced in October 2008 on 1/2 an acre of Crown Lease property in Colombo.  The Centre is nearing completion and will be fully operational in 2011.

 
The Centre will provide the following additional services:

1. Day Care Centre, which will provide person centred dementia care and respite for the family caregiver
2. Library & Resource Centre
3. Training Centre, which will provide information and training for staff, volunteers family caregivers and professional carers
4. Secretariat
5. Memory & Diagnositc Clinic
6. Mobile Services

Volunteers continue to work tirelessly in their fund raising efforts to bridge the deficit in the building fund due to escalating costs.  Please help to improve the quality of life of people with dementia and their families by supporting the work of the Lanka Alzheimer's Foundation.
